Matt Leary, President and Founder
Matt started the company in October 1996. The first 10 years of his career he worked as a full time PCB designer specializing in OrCAD and PADs. About 10 years ago he added Allegro and Altium tools and the business started to grow. This started a transition from full time PCB Designer to more of a management role. In that time he grew the company to a 30-person organization. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1996 with a BA in Physics, after spending his first 2 years of college at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. Both before and during the early years of Newgrange Design he worked as a bartender, valet, pizza deliverer, ski instructor, house painter, and newspaper deliverer. He loves spending time with his wife, kids, and the rest of his family and friends, particularly if there is a beach, a mountain, a bike, a field or a rink involved.
Kristen Aguiar, Training Manager
Kristen has worked at Newgrange Design for over 10 years. She started as an intern, proceeded to become a full time PCB designer and later a PCB Design Manager with a team of up to 5 designers. During her time at Newgrange she has helped to grow a small team of designers to its current size. She currently manages and trains all newly hired PCB Designers from the ground up, creating and implementing a new training program. She also oversees the continued training of PCB designers as the industry changes. She is experienced designing RF and high-speed circuitry, analog, digital, high voltage, high current, power electronics, and HDI. She has experience with DFM/DFA/DFT standards. She is an IPC certified CID designer. She graduated from Northeastern University, Summa Cum Laude, with a degree in Mathematics. Kristen likes to spend her free time biking, cooking, and traveling.
Myev Bodenhofer, Electrical Engineering/Quality/Compliance Manager
Myev has over 20 years of design and test experience in medical devices and in the avionics industry. She heads up our engineering services group, leads product development teams, performs signal integrity analysis, and consults on complex PCB Designs. Her particular areas of expertise include: system architecture design, low-level analog design, design of test equipment, EMC and environmental testing and FMEA and risk analysis. She holds both a Masters in Electrical Engineering and an undergraduate degree in Physics from MIT. Myev has worked in Class III medical device development, and is experienced in working under ISO 13485 and the ISO 9000 family of standards. Myev loves to travel. She and her family are closing in on their goal of visiting all 50 US states.

He is now a Team Manager overseeing 7 PCB designers. He works closely with the Operations team and PCB Design Manager to direct the project resources and oversee the professional development within his team. In addition to focusing on the success of the team in customer service and quality, he still actively designs boards. He has experience with RF, high voltage, high current, and power circuitry designs in Altium and Allegro. On occasion, he lends support to the Engineering and Training departments. He graduated from Gordon College, Magna Cum Laude, with a BS in Physics. Outside of work he is an active maker and wood worker. He enjoys playing guitar, camping, and biking. As a matter of fact, he even builds his own guitars.
Doug Field, PCB Design Training/IT Manager
